Songklanagarind Hospital Receives 7 Program and Disease Specific Certifications (PDSC) at the 26th HA National Forum, Reaffirming its Commitment to Healthcare Quality Improvement

Songklanagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), was officially awarded the Program and Disease Specific Certification (PDSC) by the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organization), or HAI. The ceremony was held at IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani, during the 26th Annual HA National Forum. The certificates were presented by Dr. Piyawan Limpanyalert, Director of HAI, to the representatives of the Faculty of Medicine, PSU.


The Program and Disease Specific Certification (PDSC) recognized medical care processes across all dimensions of treatment. In this recent evaluation, Songklanagarind Hospital successfully met the stringent assessment criteria for both "maintaining existing standards" and "elevating to new standards," as follows:


1. Re-certification in 6 Core Clinical Areas:
This reflects the hospital's continuous commitment to maintaining high-quality care for patients with complex condition, including:
- Difficult Airway Management: Department of Anesthesiology
- Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders Management: Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Schizophrenia Care and Management: Department of Psychiatry
- Pediatric Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Management: Department of Pediatrics
- Retinal Detachment Management: Department of Ophthalmology
- Head and Neck Cancer Care and Management: Department of Otolaryngology.
 

2. New Certification:
PSU has successfully developed an advanced critical cardiac care system, earning recognition in:
- ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Management: Department of Internal Medicine. This marks a vital milestone in increasing the survival chances for critically ill patients.
